Disposal

If you can't repair it, or sell it then the only option might be to recycle or dispose of it.

Numerous directives, campaigns and government policies emphasis the need to recyle. The recycle now website provides useful information on current campaigns.

You can normally take items such as furniture, washing machines etc to your nearest Household Waste Recycling Centre free of charge. Alternatively you can contact your District Council who will arrange collection (some Councils make a charge for this service). To find details of the service provided by your council click here.

There are even more options for such items as computers, printers and cellphones which can often be given to support charitable organisations (details of many can be found from search engines - Google, Yahoo! and MSN).
